ECOnsult: Helping Policymakers Bring Inclusive Cooling to Egypt’s Villages
Architecture firm ECOnsult has put cooling at the heart of Egypt’s plans to transform its villages and small towns, bridging the gap between leaders and citizens with practical advice and bold new perspectives.
Ashden features ECOnsult work in partnership with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development to bring climate proofing as a priority for rural communities. ECOnsult created green guidelines to ensure affordable and accessible solutions for green buildings and villages in Egypt.
“Core to the Hayat Karima project is building affordable homes that are energy efficient and abide by green guidelines. ECOnsult’s valuable support and efforts in this project, and in raising awareness and putting guidelines in place, will ensure that homes are resilient to the changing climate. Making a difference is what ECOnsult is all about.”
